. To update the
firmware, click
Firmware Upgrade
. You are then prompted to enter the previously
downloaded
file
(the file may first have to be unpacked) and then click
Upload
to load the firmware onto the
router.
Caution!
Never disconnect
the router
from the power supply
while upgrading the router, otherwise the
router may no longer function
and must be set in for repair. Wait until the
router indicates
that
the
firmware has been successfully updated
.
Then reboot the router.
Dynamic DNS
The
dynamic DNS
assigns a
domain name
to
dynamic IP addresses
(i.e. an IP address assigned
by a DHCP-capable router or server). For example,
your own FTP
server can be reached
externally
via
www.myftp.dyndns.org
, even
if you are assigned another IP address each time you dial in
.
Set the
