Note:
The IP address has to be in the same address space as the one entered in the
“Router Local IP”

be able to reach your router.
Example:
If your router IP address is 192.168.2.1, then the IP address for the DHCP Server should also begin with 192.168.2., and the last digits
can be between 2 and 254, although we do recommend that you keep the default setting.
IP Pool Count:
Here you enter the maximum number of IP addresses to be assigned.
Lease Time:
Indicates the validity period of a dynamically assigned IP address that a client received from the integrated DHCP server.

6.1 ATM VC (DSL modem setting)
Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM)
is a method of trans-

packets, and the transfer is coded and asynchronous. You
must enter the following values, which differ according to
the DSL connection. (See screenshot below)
Virtual Circuit:
PVC0 is selected by default.
Status:
Activated must be selected.
VPI:

Note
: The values 1 and 32 are only valid for a Deutsche Telekom DSL connection. If your connection is through a different company or
you are not resident in Germany, ask your DSL connection provider for these values.
Click ->
SAVE
at the bottom of the window to save your settings.
6.2 Encapsulation (DSL protocol)
The purpose of encapsulation is to encapsulate other protocols and to transport these in the form of IP tunnels.
In Germany, the PPPoE protocol is used almost exclusively;
this manual will therefore cover this protocol only. Users
with different protocols should consult their Internet service
provider, which will provide the relevant setting information.
Click ->
SAVE
at the bottom of the window to save your
settings.
6.3 PPPoE/PPPoA (broadband connection protocol)
PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)
