Stingray

Initial Setup
In most cases, simply turning on the STB is sufficient and a first-time setup is not required.
However, in some cases, it may be necessary to interrupt the bootup process and configure
the STB before it will boot correctly. For example, if there are multiple video services
available on your network, it may be necessary to select the proper “realm” to which the
STB will connect.
Also, if your network is not DHCP-enabled, it may be necessary to
configure the network settings of the STB before it will boot.
NOTE
Before proceeding, make sure the STB has been correctly connected to the
network and to a television monitor. See
“Connecting the Stingray
2”
on page
13.
To configure the STB settings:
When you plug in the power, the STB begins to boot up and you will see the progress
display on the monitor. Note that each icon on the bottom of the display corresponds to a
bootup phase, and will be greyed out until that phase is underway or complete.
