6.4 Shutdown procedure for storage
Remove the fluids and power from the panel for long-term storage.
1. Close the sample flow valve to stop the sample flow to the panel.
2. Drain the sample from the tubing.
3. Remove the reagents from the CL17 chlorine analyzer and flush the tubing, if applicable. Refer to
the CL17 analyzer user manual.
4. Remove the sensor from the CLF10 or the CLT10 chlorine analyzer, if applicable. Refer to the
user manual for the CLF10 or the CLT10 analyzer.
5. Clean the measurement vial in the turbidity analyzer. Refer to the user manual for the turbidity
sensor.
6. Disconnect the power.
Section 7 Troubleshooting
Measure grab samples and calibrate the analyzers and sensors regularly for accurate
measurements. Refer to the user manual of each instrument for calibration instructions.
Collect a grab sample for verification
To make sure that the measurements are accurate, collect a grab sample for analysis with a different
instrument or method.
1. Collect a sample from a location near the sensor.
2. Measure the concentration of the sample with a different instrument or method. Start the
measurement immediately after collection to make sure that the concentration does not change.
3. Compare the concentration measured by the sensor to the grab sample concentration.
4. If the results do not agree, calibrate the sensor. Refer to the sensor user manual for calibration
instructions.
