ASCII characters followed by a carriage return. Each command
(such as selecting a channel) performs a single action as soon as
the instrument receives it. The instrument then sends a carriage
return and line feed to indicate completion.
Query commands, such as Sx, GC, and GA respond with
additional characters before the final carriage return and line feed.
General Conventions:
• Commands preceded by “S” set conditions and are often
followed by a single numeric parameter.
• Commands preceded by “G” are query conditions.
• Spaces within commands are ignored.
• All commands end with a carriage return.
• Commands are case sensitive, except for the S or G that
precede them.
• The instrument sends a carriage return, then line feed to
indicate it is ready for a new command.
