8.4 Liquid Detector Replacement
Replace the liquid detector annually. This preventive maintenance should not be
dependent on the condition of the detector. Refer to
“Pre-Installation Procedures” on
page 10 and “Sampling Module Connections” on page 15 , for the location and
installation of the liquid detector.
To replace the liquid detector:
1) Shut off all sample flow and switch off the mains power supply (master switch
located on the side of the sampling module)
2) Disconnect the liquid detector's LEMO-2 connector from the power control box
inside the sampling module (just above the O
2
sensor flow chamber)
3) Pull the cable out of the left side of the sampling module, through two grommets
4) Remove the liquid detector from the 'T' fitting by unscrewing the 1" VCO nut.
Save the VCO nut
5) Pull the detector out of the fitting
6) Insert the new liquid detector, model 32873.03 making sure that the two O-rings
are in place (one on the VCO fitting, one on the detector)
Reassemble in reverse order.
8.5 Sample Filter
If you have installed the sample filter kit accessory (model 32957), it should be checked
and cleaned on a regular basis (the time interval being dependant on the customer's
application and product). If the filter gets blocked with particles, this will cause degassing
which in turn will affect the performance of the Probrix.
For hygienic reasons, the filter should be checked and cleaned just prior to a Cleaning In
Place (CIP) operation.
