Recorder Mode
When looking for intermittent faults or interference, the LT51 Recorder mode can
be used to monitor a measurement over an extended period. Recordings at a
specified sampling interval, are saved to internal non-volatile flash memory for
later update to a PC for analysis. The memory can hold over 200k samples,
which can be spread over a maximum of 10 recordings, or just 1 occupying the
total memory.
NOTE: New recordings can possibly overwrite (all)previous recordings.
To use the Recorder feature follow the steps below:
Setup the Level or DC Voltage measurement to monitor.
Press and hold the key down for greater than 1.5 s.
The menu changes to allow control of the Recorder, such as Start/Stop,
selection of the sampling interval, and to display the start time/duration of
the measurement.
With the LT51, it is possible to record a measurement every second for over 60
hours. Increasing the sampling interval enables measurements to be recorded
over weeks:
Before starting the Recorder, select the sampling interval by pressing the
[f2] soft-key. The options are: 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, 60s.
To start the Recorder, press the [f1] soft-
key to display “RUNNING”.
While the Recorder is running;
the current measurement is continuously displayed, together with the
maximum and minimum values that have been recorded.
The start time of the measurement together with a timer indicating how long
the measurement has been running, are displayed in the menu area. The
timer is
displayed in the format: “dd:hh:mm:ss”
All keys, except the [f1] soft-key are disabled.
Press the [f1] soft-
key to “STOP” the Recorder.
If the Recorder runs out of memory or the battery is near empty, the function
will automatically stop.
NOTE: Only the minimum and maximum values that have been recorded in the
memory are displayed. Hence if the currently displayed measurement
has not been sampled, it may be outside these displayed min. / max.
values.
The result of a Recorder measurement can be up-loaded to the PC, where a
graph of all the sampled Level/DCV values are displayed. See the PC Interface
section for more information.
