part is impossible to sink. If the pump is found defective, the repair shall be done by an authorised servicing facility only. Only
genuine spare parts should be used.
•
Please note that according to effective standards, we shall not be held liable for any damage caused by our units if anything
indicated below applies:
•
Inappropriate repairs done by other than authorised servicing facilities
•
Nonobservation of determination or use other than in compliance with the determination ;
•
Pump overloading in result of continuous operation ;
•
Damages caused by frost and other weather effects ;
•
On this unit, the connecting line is impossible to be exchanged. The line having been damaged, the unit need to be
scrapped.
Same regulations apply to the accessories.
12.2.1
Connecting Cable
Subject to a specific type, the submersible pumps are equipped with a 10-m cable H07RNF or H05RNF.
According to the effective regulation, any submersible pump with the connecting cable shorter than 10 m should be used indoors only
as a pump to pump away water from flooded cellars.
Therefore, take care to check the length and type of the cables at purchasing.
12.2.2
OverheatingThermal Fuse
Inside the motor, there is a probe fitted that will switch the pump off on exceeding certain temperature automatically and will switch it
on again after the unit cooled down. That will multiply the service life of the unit and the motor burning is prevented.
12.3
Procedure
The pump will be put in operation by plugging in the unit and putting the float switch in desired position (see Operation). If the pump is
to be lifted or transported, it should be by means of the handle not by the connecting cable. If the pump is submersed, it should be
fixed by the handle if necessary. Use a rope, chain or similar.
On swampy, sandy or silica ground, the pump should be suspended on a rope or a chain or put on a sufficiently wide support base for
it to work submersed. Sand or other abrasive materials will shorten the service life of hydraulic parts and sealing of the pump and
should be avoided. At temperatures around zero, the pump should be removed from the liquid to be pumped. Any risk of the pump
being exposed to frost should be prevented. The pump has to be emptied and stored at a frost-protected place.
Caution! Important notice for the customer
The pump is recommended to be submersed or put in the liquid askew. In that way, the air may be discharged from the
body immediately and the pump may start working. After this start-up, it is possible to put the pump straight.
12.3.1
Automatic Float
The float will out the pump on automatically, as the liquid increases or decreases. If the float cable is made shorter or longer, in
relation to the support point, the pump is put on or off due to the minimum or maximum delivery head.. The float cable is fixed to the
pump handle with a suitable clamp. Remember to check free movement of the float at operation After any use in very dirty water, the
pump should be rinsed and cleaned with clean water. The levels of switching on and off may vary.
12.3.2
Overheating Fuse/ Thermal Protection Motor Circuit Breaker
A motor thermal breaker is fitted on the submersible pump. If the motor gets overheated, the breaker will switch the pump off
automatically. Cooling time is 25 minutes, afterwards, the pump will go on automatically. If the breaker switches, it is essential to find
and remove the cause (see also Faults seeking) The data indicated in this context should not be regarded instructions for home-made
repairs as the repairs require specific expert knowledge. Always consult a customer servicing centre at any faults.
