An authorised user can change any telephone number that has been programmed to use the home
beep format. A telephone number of up to 16 digits can be programmed. This number can include
pause digits. Pause digits can be entered using the
Ï
button. This will be displayed as a “,”
character. Each pause digit represents a 1 second delay. Pauses may be required if you are
signalling via a PABX or if the call is routed through an old exchange.
Enter a single zero to turn off a
telephone number.

An alarm in the home beep format is transmitted as a series of DTMF tones. For example if channel 3
was active the transmitted message would be:
3 3 3 < 2s delay> 3 3 3 < 2s delay > 3 3 3 < 2s delay> 3 3 3 < 2s delay >3 3 3
Where ‘3’ is the tone pair for DTMF digit 3. The channel information is repeated a maximum of 5 times
during a call
