Resetting user preferences

This menu point allows you to reset settings implemented by the user back to the 
 factory defaults. The channel lists are not affected.

Updating software

8.8.2.1  Updating software via satellite

The software for the satellite receiver is provided by the Astra 19.2° East satellite. The 
satellite receiver is designed so that you can update its operating software and certain 
channel information directly via this satellite. If new software is available, this will be 
indicated by a display on the screen.

  Do not disconnect the satellite receiver from the mains network during soft-

ware downloads and the software update. An interruption like that can 
 damage the satellite receiver’s operating software!
