You can update STB Software and database through the serial
input-output port RS-232 on the rear panel of the STB. You
can do this using a PC or another STB.
PC TO STB SOFTWARE UPDATE
Whenever a problem is found with this software or extra
functions or enhanced applications are added, the software in
the equipment must be upgraded. In order to maintain proper
performance of the product, it is essential to have the most
up-to-date software. The latest news and release of software
versions may be found at the following website – http://www.
gsint.tv/ It is recommended that you periodically check for the
availability of software upgrades.
PC TO STB SOFTWARE/DATABASE UPDATE THROUGH serial input-output port RS-232 USING GS BURNER
– Switch off the STB.
– Connect the PC to the STB by RS-232-cable.
– Install and run the GS Burner utility on your PC (You can download it on our website http://www.gsint.tv).
– Find and Open upg-file in the GS Burner utility (software version/database file corresponding to your area you can
download on our website http://www.gsint.tv).
– Press Start on your PC.
– Turn on the STB.
The download process and error codes will be shown on the STB front panel and in the GS Burner window.
If the download is successful the “b. 100” figure must be shown on STB front panel. The STB will be restarted with
the new version of the software.
If there is an error during the download process, then an error code will appear on the STB’s front panel and the
error decoding will appear in the GS Burner window. The meaning of mistake is described in the table 1. The STB
will be restarted using the old version of the software.
Warning
: Do not turn off the STB while downloading. Connect the PC to the STB by RS-232-cable when the power
is off.

Warning:
This method is valid only if the set-top boxes have the same hardware version (it can be checked in the
Status Menu).
– Switch off the STBs.
– Connect the STB to the STB by RS-232-cable.
– Power on the source STB; select “Installation” – “Data Transfer”, press the blue button. To update only
database press “0” (Zero) before ; to update only software press “1” before .
– Power on the destination STB. If it was turned on earlier select “Installation” – “Data transfer” and press the
red button. Confirm your choice.
