EN
System 2A and 2B with 1 tank, 1 circulating pump and 3 probes
(No modulating circulating pump, No calculation, With supplementary heating) FOR SYSTEM 2A
(No modulating circulating pump, No calculation, With elimination of excess heat) FOR SYSTEM 2B
Switching on
Whenever the power to the regulator is switched on, the display will activate all the symbols for 2 seconds; whe-
reas, in the following 5 seconds, the display will indicate the regulator software version.
Standby mode
After the switching on stage, if there are no faults and/or higher priority demands, the regulator goes to standby
mode. Therefore the following information will be displayed:
• Standby display: temperature of Solar Collector PT1000 Sensor S3 with range 1÷180°C, the symbol S3 will be lit.
• Press the Info button for 1 second to display the temperature of Hot Water Tank NTC Sensor S2 with range 1÷125°C
(the symbol S2 will be lit), and the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank PT1000 Sensor S1 with range 1÷180°C (the
symbol S1 will be lit).
• Press the Info button for 1 second and the regulator returns to standby mode.
Operation
Solar Circulating Pump activation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value
(Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar
Collector Sensor S3 and the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is greater than or equal to the Activation
temperature differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 6°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator activates the Solar Circulating Pump.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will be lit.
Solar Circulating Pump deactivation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value
(Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar
Collector Sensor S3 and the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is less than or equal to the Deactivation
temperature differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 4°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator deactivates the Solar Circulating Pump.
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is higher than or equal to the Tank max. temperature parameter
value (Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator deactivates the Solar
Circulating Pump.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will be off.
Supplementary heating (thermostat function) Only for system 2A
(Only with Parameter P20=1 and with Parameter P14 > P13)
During normal operation, if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is lower than the Thermostat
activation temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 40°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator activates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector);
whereas if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is higher than the Thermostat deactivation
temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 45°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator
deactivates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector).
The contact is voltage-free and with exchange contact: NC 14-15, NO 13-14.
To signal the Supplementary Heating mode, the Contact symbol will be lit.
