5. Cassette

Recording from the Built-In CD Player

1. Set the function switch to CASS

2. Insert a cassette which has not been protected against

erasure (see the section “Erasing a Recording”).

3. If necessary, wind the tape to the position where you

wish to begin recording.

4. Set the function switch to CD.

5. Insert a CD and select the desired starting track or pro-

gramme track sequence (see the section “Programmed
Playback”).

6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the CD player twice

(pause mode).

7. Press the OTR 

button to begin recording - the PLAY

button is automatically pressed in with it (

ecording).

If the CD player is paused, it does not need to be started
separately. It starts automatically (Synchro-Start).

8. To interrupt recording, press the STOP/EJECT 

ə

ton.

The CD player switches to pause.

Press the OTR

to resume recording.

9. When the tape reaches the end, the cassette deck and the

CD player stop automatically and the CD player switches
to pause.

10. To switch off the unit, set the function switch to CASS

Note

The volume you set does not have an influence on the recor-
ding. 
The recording level is automatically adjusted.

Recording from the Built-In Radio Component

1. Tune to a station as described in the section “Radio Opera-

tion”.

You can record and listen to any station simultaneously.

While recording, you can adjust the sound to suit your own
personal taste. This does not have amy effect on the recor-
ding.

2. Insert a cassette, making sure that it is not protected

against erasure (see the section “Erasing a Recording”).

3. Wind the tape to the position where you wish to begin

recording.

4. Press the PAUSE

6. Release the PAUSE

button by pressing it again. This

starts the recording.

7. To briefly interrupt recording, press the PAUSE

Press this button again to resume recording (button in =
pause, button out = start).

8. Press the  STOP/EJECT

button to terminate recor-

ding.

9. Set the function switch to CASS

Recording with an External Microphone

Connect an external microphone to the

socket on the top of

the unit.

Proceed as described for the radio component.
