Special Functions
Recording - controlled from
external devices (for example a
satellite receiver)
If an external device with a timer and control signal
is connected to the recorder at the EURO AV 1 or
DECODER AV 2 socket, this device can control
recording on the recorder (for example a satellite
receiver, check with your dealer).

Preparation
Insert a cassette that has sufficient playing time and
is not erase protected.

Preparing the EURO-AV socket for the
external device
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Call up the info table using the
h
button.
Use the
DC
buttons to select the » A1/A 2
RECORD PREPARED « line and call it up using the
G
button.
– The » A1/A 2 RECORD PREPARED « table appears.
Use the
F
or
E
buttons to switch on “Record Pre-
pared”.
Use the
D
button to select the » A1 A2 « line and
activate EURO-AV socket A1 or A2 using the
F
or
E
buttons.
Store the setting with the
G
button.
– The recorder is in record prepared mode. The
timing of the recording will be controlled by the
external device.

If this function has been selected, TIMER recording
and operation with a decoder are not possible.

To terminate this function, repeat the setting proce-

It is possible to adjust the duration of the function
displays which appear on the TV screen.
Use the buttons on the remote control for this func-
