Sawing
Pull the protective shield (5) back towards
the front handle (4) to release the chain
brake so that the saw chain can rotate.
Take hold of the front handle (4) with your
left hand and the rear handle (17) with your
right hand.
First press the safety button (20) and then
press the on/off button (18).
Note! The safety button can be released once
the chainsaw is running.
Begin sawing when the chainsaw has
reached full speed.
Release the on/off button immediately if
the saw chain gets stuck in the wood. If the
saw chain catches, causing it to kick back,
the chain brake will be activated by the
protective shield ipping forwards.
If the safety button or the on/off button is
released, the chainsaw will stop.
Note! The saw chain may expand when hot.
Check regularly to see if the saw chain needs
tightening, to avoid it coming off the blade. If
the chain is tightened whilst it is hot, it must
be loosened again when cool so that it does
not become too tight.
Loosen the saw chain by turning the SDS
knob (3) anticlockwise.
Pruning
Thin branches can be sawn with one cut.
To prevent shredding and breaking, cut
branches in several sections.
When sawing thicker branches, rst cut the
underside around 10 cm from the trunk to
prevent it breaking off , and then saw the
upper side. Finally cut the residual branch
stump off fully close to the trunk. Seal any
sawn surfaces to avoid the tree bleeding if
you are cutting trees that are to remain there.
Sawing logs
Use a stable saw horse when sawing logs.
Place the chainsaw securely on the log
using the bark support (7) at the front of the
chainsaw and saw through the log by tipping
the rear of the chainsaw upwards using the
bark support as the centre of rotation.
