Safety directions for area of application
The chainsaw must not be used for forestry
work, but only for pruning tasks and minor
felling work in private gardens.
Do not use whilst standing on a ladder or
sitting on a branch, etc.
Never stand directly under the branch you
are cutting, as it may fall without warning.
Never operate the chainsaw at an angle
over 60° in relation to the ground. Beware of
falling branches when using the chainsaw.
Watch your footing when using the
chainsaw. Sawn branches on the ground
represent a safety risk if you trip over them
while sawing.
Always work uphill on slopes.
Always saw with the underside of the blade
where possible and avoid sawing with the
tip of the blade. Caution: the chainsaw may
vibrate very heavily or kick back when you
are cutting with the end of the blade.
For outdoor use only. Do not use in rainy or
wet conditions or surroundings. Only use the
chainsaw in daylight.
Never carry the chainsaw around while the
saw chain is running. Switch the chainsaw
off between cuts when performing multiple
cuts.
Risk of personal injury
When using the chainsaw, be particularly
aware of the following risks:
• Contact with an unshielded saw chain
(risk of cuts or lesions)
• Unforeseen sudden movement of the
blade (risk of cuts or lesions)
• Ejection of saw chain parts (risk of lesion
and eye damage)
• Ejection of cutting material (risk of lesion
and eye damage)
• Noise (risk of hearing damage through
failure to wear approved hearing
protection)
