If the engine starts but then goes out again,
push the choke to the open position. Restart
the machine.
Allow the engine to warm up for a few
minutes while idling before use.
Allow the engine to run at moderate speed
for the rst 10 hours of operation.
Check after the rst 2 hours of operation
that all the screws, bolts and nuts are still
correctly tightened.
Stopping the engine
Allow the engine to idle for 10-20 seconds
before you stop the engine. Set the on/off
switch (3) to the OFF/O position.
The engine must be stopped before
transporting the machine between working
areas.
Use
Hold the handle so that you are pushing the
safety button (4) in with the palm of your
hand. Press the throttle (8) in to start the
attachment tool running.
Releasing the throttle or safety button will
stop the attachment tool and the engine will
idle.
The attachment tool must not be running
when the engine is idling. If it is, you must
reduce the idling speed using the screw on
the carburettor. Only a professional should
adjust the carburettor.
Use as a grass trimmer or brush
cutter
Move the machine from side to side with
even movements to cut or trim grass or
plants to the required height.
Tip the machine backwards slightly to avoid
objects in the grass being ung towards you.
Be very careful when using the machine
near walls or other obstacles. Objects in
the area can ricochet against the wall and
back towards you. Trim from the side, never
straight in front.
Avoid working too close to wire fences,
etc. to avoid cutting the trimmer line or
damaging the blade.
Replacing the trimmer spool
When you use the machine as a grass
trimmer, push the button under the trimmer
head (19) against the ground to feed more
trimmer line. The line will automatically be
cut to the correct length by the cutting blade
on the edge of the protective screen. When
there is no more line, replace with a new
original spool.
