Using The Manual Control Buttons On The Upper Control Board
Accessing the Upper Control Board (UCB) is not normally done, but may be required under certain circumstances. To
start, you will need to make sure that you have a #2 Phillips head screwdriver
and a 5/32” hex wrench, and the power to
the antenna turned off.
The Toughsat internal parts and electronics are protected by three plastic covers. The front and back covers are held
together by the top cover, which must be removed first. After that, the back cover may be removed, exposing the UCB
(Upper Control Board) housing (shown below).
Remove the 4 screws that hold the UCB cover in place.
