For the protection of the user, the device is
provided with a safety device, which covers
the cutting equipment.
Please refer to the following descriptions for
the function of the actuators.
Intended Use
The device is suitable only for cutting grass
in gardens and along bed edges. Every other
utilization, which is not explicitly approved in
these instructions, can lead to damage to the
device and represent a serious danger to the
user. Do not employ the device for cutting
hedges or shrubs.
The device is determined for use by adults.
Adolescents over 16 years may use the de-
vice only under supervision.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages
which were caused through non-stipulated
use or incorrect operation.
Fitting Instructions
Pull out the power plug before doing
any work on the device.
Employ only original parts and pay
attention to the line cutter during
installation. Danger of injury!
1. Unpack the device and check
whether it is complete.
2. Place the protection cover onto the
trimmer housing in such a way that the
2 guide edges of the protection cover
are located in the corresponding gaps
of the motor housing.
3. Now turn on the protection cover by
90° up to the right position. The
guide edges of the protection cover
must be placed properly in the
corresponding groove of the motor
housing.
4. Finally, fix the protection cover with
the enclosed srew.
Operating the trimmer
Do not employ the device without
protective cover. Make sure that the
device is functional before every
use. Note carefully that the mains
voltage agrees with the label on the
device. Always wear eye protection
while working with the lawn trimmer.
Note noise protection and local specifi-
cations. The use of the device is on
certain days (e.g. Sundays and legal
holidays), during certain times of day
(lunch hours, night time quiet periods)
or in special areas (e.g. health resorts,
clinics etc.) restricted or forbidden.
Switching on and off
1. For the purpose of tension relief, make
a loop of the end of the extension cord
and lead this through the opening on
the upper grip and suspend it from the
tension relief holder on the grip.
2. Connect the device to the mains
voltage.
3. Pay attention to maintaining a
secure stance and hold the device
firmly with both hands. Do not place
the cutter head on the ground.
4. To switch on, press the on/off
switch, the lawn trimmer runs at its
highest speed. To switch off,
release the switch again.
After the switching the device off, the
cutter head still continues to rotate for
some seconds.
The On/Off switch must not be
clamped. The motor must switch
off after releasing the switch. If the
switch should be damaged, work
must not be carried out any longer
with the machine.
