To reduce risk of serious personal injury when using this machine:
1. Read and understand owner’s manual before operating.
2. Always wear approved eye protection and respirator.
3. Disconnect power before changing blades, removing
parts, or doing maintenance, service, or adjustments.
4. Only plug power cord into a grounded outlet.
5. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, jewelry, or other
items that can get entangled in moving parts. Tie back
long hair and roll up long sleeves.
6. Ensure machine is correctly set up before starting.
7. Do not plane two boards of varying thickness at the
same time.
8. Never cut deeper than 1/8" on a single pass.
9. Never joint material smaller than 14" long, 3/4" wide, or
1/4" thick when edge jointing, or 1/2" thick when face
planing.
10. Keep all guards in place and in proper operating
condition.
11. Make certain machine rests firmly on flat, level ground.
12. Do not allow hands or clothing to get pulled into
cutting area while feeding workpiece.
13. Be aware of "kickback" hazards and how to prevent
them.
14. Stand clear of board ends while planing.
15. Do not plane or joint boards with cracks, loose
knots, or other defects.
16. Always use push blocks when face planing.
17. Keep hands at least 4" away from cutterhead when
jointing.
18. Never reach into planer cutting area while machine is
running.
19. Do not operate when tired or under influence of drugs
or alcohol.
20. Do not expose to rain or use in wet locations.
21. Prevent unauthorized use by children or untrained
users; restrict access or disable machine when
unattended.
