G0530 Variable Speed Buffer

Unfamiliarity with this manual could result 

in  serious  personal  injury.  Read  and 

become  familiar  with  the  contents  of  this 

manual, including all the safety warnings.

No  list  of  safety  guidelines  can  be  com-

plete.  Operating  this  machinery  may 

require additional safety precautions spe-

cific to your shop environment. Failure to 

use  reasonable  caution  while  operating 

this  machine  could  result  in  serious  per-

sonal injury.

NEVER  LEAVE  THE  BUFFER  RUN-

NING UNATTENDED.

11.

 

NEVER  ATTEMPT  TO  BUFF  SMALL 

PARTS.

  If  you  cannot  hold  small  parts 

securely,  do  not  buff  them  with  this 
machine.  Secure  them  with  clamps  or 
similar jigs or use a smaller buffer.

12.

 

BUFFING  CAN  PRODUCE  LARGE 

AMOUNTS  OF  DUST.

  Be  sure  to  wear 

the  appropriate  respirator  to  prevent 
breathing  harmful  particles.  Follow  the 
respirator instructions for use.   

13.

 

BE  AWARE  OF  MAXIMUM  SPEEDS 

FOR  THE  BUFFING  WHEELS. 

Never 

exceed  the  maximum  speed  listed  on 
each buffing/polishing wheel.

14.

 

ALWAYS  REMOVE  THE  WORKPIECE 

from the buffing wheel before you adjust 
the RPM while buffing.  

15.

 

NEVER BUFF 

a workpiece with protrud-

ing  nails,  loose  knots,  large  splinters, 
and  any  other  condition  that  may  cause 
the buffing wheel to grab and project the 
workpiece or object. 

Additional Safety Instructions for Buffers

ALWAYS WEAR

 a face shield.

2.

 

SECURE THIS BUFFER

 firmly to the floor or 

a stand.

3.

 

NEVER INSTALL A GRINDING WHEEL ON 

THIS BUFFER.

 It is strictly designed for buff-

ing and polishing only.

4.

 

DO NOT STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF 

THE 

buffer wheel when turning the machine 

ON

, or when buffing. 

5.

 

DO NOT JAM WORK AGAINST THE BUFF-

ING WHEEL. 

Slowly ease the work into the 

buffing wheel.

6.

 

ALLOW  THE  WHEEL  TO  REACH  FULL 

SPEED

 before introducing the workpiece.

7.

 

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR HANDS TO COME 

INTO  CONTACT  WITH  THE  BUFFING 

WHEEL. 

Abrasive accessories are designed 

to  remove  material  that  is  harder  than  your 
skin very quickly.

8.

 

NEVER  PERFORM  ANY  ADJUSTMENT 

OR  MAINTENANCE  PROCEDURE

  while 

the buffer is connected to power.

NEVER  BUFF  MATERIAL  FROM  THE 

REAR OF THE MACHINE
