Buffing operations on your Model G0530 will vary.
Depending on the type of material to be buffed,
multiple buffing wheels will be necessary, and for
other tasks, single wheels will be used.
A variety of spacers have been provided to
accommodate many combinations of buffing
wheels (see
Figure 7
and
8
).
To install buffing wheels:
1.
Unplug the buffer.
2.
Remove the arbor nut and slide off the
appropriate number of spacers based on the
number of buffing wheels to be used
3.
Install a series of spacers and then the buff-
ing wheel(s).
4.
Install one last spacer so the spacer overlaps
onto the arbor threads and the arbor nut will
clamp the buffing wheel(s) tightly without bot-
toming out against the un-threaded portion of
the arbor.
5.
Thread the arbor nut on to the arbor.
6.
Use the arbor wrenches as shown in
Figure
9
to hold the shaft and tighten the arbor nut.
