CAUTION:
IMPROPER SEATING OF ANODE TO CRT CAN CAUSE VIDEO
DISTORTION.
(8) Visually align the spring contact mounted in the CRT anode socket with the center
conductor on the rubber anode cap.
(9) To install anode cap, press firmly on cap to engage spring contact on CRT.
(10)Wipe the area around the anode cap clean with a lint free cloth.
(11)Reinstall the dust cover in the reverse order of steps (1) and (2).
5. Disassembly / Assembly
This paragraph provides disassembly instructions for the IN 1502H Radar Indicator
WARNING: VOLTAGE DANGEROUS TO LIFE EXISTS IN THIS EQUIPMENT. REMOVE
ALL POWER FROM THE EQUIPMENT BEFORE PROCEEDING.
WARNING: CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN DISASSEMBLING THIS EQUIPMENT SO
AS NOT TO DAMAGE THE CATHODE-RAY TUBE (CRT). A SHARP BLOW TO
THE CRT COULD CAUSE IT TO IMPLODE AND INJURE PERSONNEL.
NOTE:
References to the left side and right side in the following procedures refer to the left
or right side of the unit when facing the front panel.
NOTE:
Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly unless otherwise specified.
A. Dust Cover Removal
(1) Use screwdriver to disengage two one-quarter turn captive fasteners at rear of unit,
near center.
(2) Slide dust cover (98) off rear of unit.
NOTE:
In the disassembly procedures which follow, it is assumed that the dust
cover has been removed.
B. Sweep Module Removal
(1) Remove three screws from rear of unit, near the right side.
NOTE:
During reassembly, locking compound must be applied to these screws.
(See Table 5-2.)
(2) Loosen two captive screws on sweep module and partially remove sweep module.
(3) Detach cable connector P110 (W11) from mating connector J2010 on solder side of
sweep module (76).
