positioning of the tanks
For all works - the relevant accident prevention regulations must be
observed (BGV C22). During inspection of the tank a second
person is absolutely necessary! The tank lid must always be kept
closed except during working in the tank. Otherwise there is a high
risk of accidents. All pipes and tap-offs of service water have to be
marked with the words "no drinking water" (DIN 1988 part 2, para.
3.3.2.) – written or in pictures. In order to avoid a mistaken
connection with the drinking water network even after years. Even if
correctly labeled, confusion may still occur, e.g. through children. A
possible protection against confusion by children can be taps with
child safety.
When choosing the place of installation make sure that the tanks
are accessible at all times and that they can be emptied at any time.
The distance of the installation from existing and planned objects
must be so large that impairments are excluded.
It must be ensured that the floor of the installation room can
accommodate the corresponding loads of the installation. For
example, the medium water (1 liter = 1 kg), so medium plus empty
weight. The plant must stand on a level, flat surface. The installation
room must be well ventilated and have a floor drain. The plant room
has to be frost-free.
The bandages (made of steel) around the hybrid tank have to be
checked before initial filling and possibly re-fixed. During
transportation these bandages can become untighten. To avoid a
strong deformation of the tank the bandages have to be set
correctly. Connections to the hybrid tank can be easily realized with
so-called bulkhead fittings, tank lead through’s or rubber lip seals
and are also available.
