11.2. Selecting installation location
11.2.1 Indoor unit
1. The air inlet and outlet vent should be kept far away from obstruction so that air can be blown to the entire room;
2. Select a location where it is easy to connect to the outdoor unit;
3. Select a location where it is easy to drain condensed water;
4. Keep away from heat resource, steam and flammable gas;
5. Select a location where it is possible to withstand the weight of indoor unit without increasing the running noise and
vibrations.
6. Make sure the installation of indoor unit meets requirements of the installation dimension diagram;
7. Make sure there is enough space for maintenance or repair
8. Place the unit in a place with at least 1m away from TV, Hi-fi and other home appliances;
9. Place the unit in a place where it is easy to pull out the air filters.
10. Do not place it in washing room, bathroom or location that might be caught in rain;
11 Power plug should be placed at a location where it is easy to get hold of.
11.2.2 Outdoor unit
1. Select a location where the noise and flow of air exhaust will not affect your neighbors;
2. Select a location with good ventilation to ensure good ventilation for the outdoor unit;
3. There should be no obstacles around the outdoor unit, which may block the air inlet or air outlet of the unit;
4. Installation location should be able to withstand the weight and vibration of outdoor unit and make installation work
proceed safely;
5. Select a location without leakage of inflammable or corrosive gases;
6. Make sure the installation of outdoor unit meets requirements of the installation dimension diagram.
NOTE:
Installing the air conditioner in the following locations might cause malfunction of the air conditioner. If this is
unavoidable please contact the special service center of GREE.
•
Location full of machine oil
•
Seaside saline and alkali districts
•
Location containing sulphurate gas (such as sulphurate hotspring)
•
Location with high frequency equipments, such as radio equipment, welding equipment and medical equipment.
•
Location with special environmental conditions.
