Reading a Marker Extension Diagram
Refer to Figure 81
The chart in Figure 82 (on page 62) is for your 15 foot
drill width. Find the row unit Series (10HD or 25), and
row spacing.
In the above sample Figure title block identifies the
drill model, size, row unit type, default row count, default
row spacing, and whether the diagram applies to a
modified row spacing.
Each illustration shows three drills, their tool bars
represented by the horizontal lines
. The large
arrows show the direction of travel.
The small arrows show active row units. For modified
row spacings, the short vertical lines (no arrows) show
which row units to shut off.
Note that Left and Right extension dimensions may
not be the same, and can be substantially unequal.
Refer to Figure 82
Wider row spacing can be achieved by shutting off
certain meters. Figure 82 (on page 62) shows which
rows to shut off, which to leave on and the marker width
to use.
A baffle package is available to optimize this conversion
by diverting the seed from the unused rows.
