Swimming pool maintenance
- Check the metallic structure, the corrosion points possible, and check that the liner hasn’t got any leak of water.
- Don ‘t fill the pool to the brim in order to avoid the water overflow during the bathe. Fill up the pool with water until 10 cm underneath the pool
edge.
- Don’t leave the pool without water.
- Don’t lie down or walk on the superior edge of the pool.
Water care
1) To start – Chemical products
Please read carefully the label and follow the chemical products manufacturer instructions. WARNING: Keep the chemical
products in a clean, dry and out of children place
- First filling
: Analyse the pH and the water chlorine (Cl) and adjust them at optimal levels (pH : 7,2 - 7,6 ; Chlore : 0,5 – 2 ppm)
- Chlorine treatments
: Consist in increasing the chlorine level until approximatively 20ppm to eliminate germs and seaweeds. This process has to be done
only when the water of the pool comes from rivers or ponds,… … … or if it stayed a long time without any treatments.
- Checking
: Check at least once a week the chlorine levels. In the same way, we advise to add algicid to avoid them to appear.
- Warning
: Never have a swim before the chlorine level stabilization. Make sure the pool water level is correct. Do always use a floating dispenser for the
chemical products (tablets) dissolution.
2) Water Treatment – Mechanical measures
-
Bottom cleaner VENTURI style
Connect a garden hose to the bottom cleaner join and introduce it into the pool. Open the tap until a normal pressure to make the water flow out against
the bottom of the pool, producing in that way an ascendant stream which leave the dirt into the filter (bag) which is adjust on the bottom cleaner.
Comment
: As our pools got a small water volume, we advise to empty the water and to replace it with clean water when its state don’t allow to have a swim
(each 2 days minimun). If you empty the pool water which contain chemical products, don’t use it to water the plants.

Iron or manganese presence
Analyse the pH and adjust it Realise a chlorine treatment
Add an algicid and a flocculant
Skin and eyes Irritation. Bad smells
Unbalanced pH. Organic residues excess
Replace the pool water
WINTERING:
Once the bathe season is finished :
Emptying:
Withdraw the drain plug from the pool, introduce the coupling into it and connect a hose to the coupling. If the water contains chlorine
or bleach, do not use it for watering plants.
-
Empty and dismount the pool
-
Dry carefully the metallic parts and smear with grease(lubrificant) or with vaseline the corners and edges in order to protect from corrosion
-
Clean the liner, dry it carefully and fold it without too much creases
