3. Verify that there are no twists in belts
and that they are routed correctly.
MOWER DECK
Removing Mower Deck
1. Remove PTO belt from clutch (see
2. Release tension from deck lift-assist
spring and disconnect spring.
NOTICE:
Support mower deck on blocks or
jack stands before disconnecting links from
mower lift arms to prevent the deck from
falling.
3. Slowly lower deck to lowest position.
4. Remove hardware retaining mower lift
links attached to mower deck.
5. Remove front mounting pin hardware
and drag link mounting pins.
6. Slide mower deck out from under unit.
WARNING:
AVOID INJURY.
Mower lift arms and mower lift
pedal could cause severe injury if
tension on the lift assist spring is
not released before
disconnecting the lift links.
Springs store energy. Keep body
parts well away from pinch points
when removing the deck.
