CONTROLS AND FEATURES
See Figure 4 for Controls and Features
locations.
Ignition Switch (Item 10)
Operate the ignition switch
with the removable key.
The switch has three
positions:
1. OFF
Engine will not start or run.
2. ON
Engine will run.
3. START
Engine will start.
Choke Control Knob (Item 11)
1. START
(Choke Closed):
Chokes off air to engine
for easier starting.
2. RUN
(Choke Open):
Allows for normal
operation.
IMPORTANT:
Gradually open choke after
engine starts.
Throttle Lever (Item 12)
1. FAST
Increase engine speed.
2. SLOW
Decrease engine speed.
Oil Pressure Light (Item 13)
Indicates when engine oil
pressure is low.
NOTE:
It does not indicate
engine oil level.

page 36 or refer to engine
manual for details. See your
Dealer for diagnostics and
repair.
Transaxle Bypass Levers
Bypass the transaxles to move the unit with
the engine off (see
NOTICE:
Ensure both transaxles are set to
neutral before pushing the unit.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT tow unit. Transport
unit on an appropriate truck or trailer.
Operator Platform (Item 3)
The operator platform has two positions:
1. Ride
Use as a stand-on mower (platform down).
2. Transport
Use as a walk-behind unit (platform up).
NOTICE:
Lock platform using the transport
lock latch (See
HOUR / MAINTENANCE METER
Hour Meter-only Models
Hour meter measures engine runtime and
cannot be reset.
Maintenance Models
When the key is in the on position, the Timer
mode displays. Press the Mode button to
toggle between different models.
Timer:
Measures engine runtime until reset.
To reset the timer, press the Mode button to
select TMR1 mode and then hold Mode
button for 3 seconds.
