IMPORTANT:
When sharpening blades, be
sure to grind the same amount on each side.
Unbalanced blades cause excessive
vibration and could cause the spindles to
wear prematurely.
3. Check mower blade balance. See
Clamp a bolt to a table or mount in a vise
and slide mower blade onto unthreaded
portion. A balanced blade should remain
in a horizontal position. If either end of
mower blade moves downward, sharpen
the heavy end until blade is balanced.
Install Blades
1. Secure lower spindle guards and blades
to spindles with one bevel washer and
hex bolt. Torque to 156 – 217 N•m
(115 – 160 lb-ft).
2. Reconnect spark plug wires.
ELECTRICAL SERVICE
Fuse/Relay Panel
The fuse/relay panel is located behind the
rear access panel below the control panel.
Main Fuse
The main fuse is located on the right side of
the machine behind the starter motor. Keep it
tucked in this location to protect it from
damage. If damaged, replace only with same
amperage fuse.
CAUTION:
Mating surfaces
between spindle, lower spindle
guard, blade and washer MUST
be free of debris to ensure
correct tightness and alignment.
