11.5 Additional Troubleshooting
Symptom Cause Solution Note
Printing cannot
be done/There
are white
lines/Printing
condition is not
stable. Graphtec
specified ink
(IJ80050 series)
is not used. If the ink that is not Graphtec specified (IJ80050
series) is used, unexpected printing trouble may
happen. If you use the ink that is not
Graphtec specified ink (IJ80050
series), please check whether the
Xaar XJ-126-300 type print head
is listed on the compatible print
head list of the ink.
Print head
nozzle(s) is
clogged. Press the INK button to perform the Positive
pressure cleaning. Perform a printhead cleaning
operation (see Section 8.5 Printing
the Nozzle Check Pattern).
Setting of the
EF value is not
correct. Set the EF value according to the recommended
EF data that is attached with the print head.
The values need to be set from the operation
panel.

Print Para > PH Volt. Set > PH”X” Voltage >”
XXXX”
Example:
If the Recommended EF Data is 0.85, enter
“0085”.
If Graphtec specified ink (IJ80050 series) is not
used, please set the EF value according to the
note described at right side. EF Data;
If Graphtec specified ink (IJ80050
series) is not used, the ink may
not fired correctly. In this case,
please increase the EF value in
+0005 step and check the printing
condition.

Firing is not
enabled. Set the Flash Mode to 1 or 2.

Print Para > Flash Mode > 1 or 2. Flash Mode;
If the printing width is 1/2 full
width or less, set the mode to 1.
If the printing width is wider than
1/2 full width, set the mode to 2.
