PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
STARTING COMBUSTION ENGINE
Do not connect any receiver of electrical power before starting the engine. Do not fill the tank above
its maximum allowable level, otherwise the fuel may flow out due to its thermal expansion when
temperature changes during engine operation.
When filling the fuel, follow these rules:
-
motor must not work,
-
you must not spill the fuel.
Before starting the generator for the first time, have 0.6 litre of SAE 15W/40 oil ready to use.
●
Unscrew the oil filler plug (11) and pour prepared amount of oil (fig. A).
●
Check oil level and tighten oil filler plug (11) (fig. B).
●
Fill the fuel tank (3) with lead-free petrol with 95 octane number (fig. C). After you finish filling the tank
with fuel ensure that the fuel filler plug (2) is tightened.
●
Earth the generator (fig. D) (earthing wire is not included in the generator set).
●
Turn fuel valve (15) lever to “ON” position (fig. E).
●
If the engine is cold, move fuel throttle lever (choke) (17) to the left (fig. F).
●
Turn on generator ignition by turning key in the ignition switch (13) to “ON” position (fig. G).
●
Pull the starter line (14). First slowly so to hear the clutch gears, then pull it strongly (fig. H). When star-
ting the engine with use of electric starter, first read section “Start-up using a battery” in this instruction
manual.
●
Move fuel throttle lever (choke) (17) to the right and connect power receiver to 230 V AC socket (8) (fig. I).
●
Move the lever with AC overcurrent protection (9) to “ON” position. Power-on lamp (4) will light up, and
voltmeter (10) will show the voltage.
When there is insufficient amount or no oil at all in the oil sump, oil level sensor may activate. It will
stop engine operation or disable start up.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
Disconnect all electrical devices that are power receivers before stopping the engine.
●
Turn off generator ignition by turning key in the ignition switch (13) to “OFF” position.
●
Turn fuel valve (15) lever to “OFF” position.
After combustion engine has been stopped, the engine and exhaust pipe may be very hot. As long
as combustion engine and exhaust pipe remain hot, avoid touching them with any part of your body
or clothing during checking, maintenance or making adjustments.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
POWER RECEIVER CONNECTION
Receivers of alternating current (AC)
Before connecting electrical power receiver:
●
Ensure the switch of the electrical power receiver is in the OFF position.
●
Ensure that specification of connection parts between the generator and receiver match the rated
current of the generator.
●
Start the generator engine.
●
Insert power cord plug of the receiving device to AC socket (8).
BATTERY CHARGING
You can use the generator to charge battery with following specification: 12 V DC, 8.3 A. Maximum capacity
of charged battery is 40 Ah.
●
Connect red wire to positive terminal of the battery (+).
●
Connect black wire to negative terminal of the battery (-).
●
Connect the wires to appropriate 12 V DC terminals (7).
