9. Test For Tightness

Grab the sides of the seat where the vehicle seat belt is routed 

and slide the car seat side to side and front to back.
If the seat moves less than 1” (2.5 cm), it is tight enough.
If more tightening is required, remove the shoulder belt from 

the lockoff, tighten, and re-insert the shoulder belt into the 

lockoff.

10.  Choose One of the Four Recline Positions

The recline may be changed without uninstalling the car seat.

 Recline when vehicle is moving. 

Recline should only be changed when car is fully stopped 

and in a parked position.

11. Check the Level Indicator

Vehicle
