Repair Overtemperature Switch
1. Perform

2. Wait for heaters to cool.
3. Remove heater cover (10).
4. Disconnect overtemperature switches (209) from
cable (46). Test across spade terminals with
ohmmeter.
a. If the resistance is not approximately 0 ohms,
the overtemperature switch needs to be
replaced. Go to step 5.
b. If the resistance is approximately 0 ohms,
inspect cable (46) to ensure it is not cut
or open. Reconnect the overtemperature
switch (209) and cable (46). Disconnect
cable from TCM. Test from pin 1 to 3 and
1 to 4. If resistance is not approximately 0,
and switches are 0. Replace cable in place
of original cable.
5. If switch fails test, remove screws. Discard failed
switch. Apply a thin layer of thermal compound
110009, install new switch in same location on
housing (201), and secure with screws (213).
Reconnect cables.
