Use one hand to press the mast forward,
and hold the lower end of the forestay
with the other hand.

Hold the forestay under tension and
hook the carabiner to the forward eye of
the bowsprit.
Attention: As long as the forestay is not
securely attached to the bowsprit you
must pull and keep the forestay under
tension, to prevent the mast from falling
backward.

Hook the endless jib furler to the free eye
of the bowspeit.

Hang the carabiner from the rubber on
the lug on the trampoline cloth.
►
Feed the main halyard end without cara-
biner from the rear of the masthead top
fitting, over the pulley arrangement.

Step the mast.
Make sure that the shrouds, above and
down, do not get tangled.
