Cleaning and
user maintenance

younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
away from the device and the connection.
CAUTION: Hot surfaces!
The device will become very hot during use. Make sure
that no heated parts are touched while using and after us-
ing the device. Only touch the handle and control knobs
while the device is in operation or immediately after it has
been switched o
ff
. Wait until the device has cooled down
fully before it is transported, cleaned or stored away. Use
oven gloves when handling the hot accessories.

Never immerse the main unit and the connection in water or oth-
er liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become
wet. There is a danger of electric shock from water.

Do not pour any liquids (e. g. oil or water) directly into the device
or the drawer or place a liquid-
fi
lled vessel into the device. It works
exclusively with hot air.

The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
or a separate remote control system.
■
Do not make any modi
fi
cations to the device. Do not replace the
connection yourself. If the device or the connection are dam-
aged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer
service department or a specialist workshop in order to avoid
any hazards.

It is essential to follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Stor-
age” chapter.

Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not use it in rooms with high hu-
midity.

Should the main unit fall into water, cut o
ff
the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains
power! Have the device checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.

Never touch the device and the connection with wet hands when these components
are connected to the mains power.
■
Make sure that the steam which emerges is not aimed directly at electrical devices
and equipment containing electrical components.
