ATTENTION!
❐
Risk of injury! Never reach into the funnel tube or grinding mechanism when the device is
connected to the power supply and keep your hair and clothing away from it!
❐
Never use hard or sharp-edged objects when you work with the device (e.g. knives, forks).
❐
Some of the coffee beans may jump out of the funnel tube during the grinding process. For
this reason, always use the device with the funnel lid (1) closed and do not open it during
operation. This way, you also preserve the aroma.
❐
Always turn off the device before you remove the funnel lid or the coffee compartment (7).
❐
Always shut off the device and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you mount or
remove components and clean the device.
❐
Do not leave the device unattended when it is connected to the power supply.
❐
The unit may not be moved or transported when activated.
❐
Never allow the device to operate continuously for more than 1 minute. After this time,
give it a break of 1 to 2 minutes.
❐
Inspect the device directly each time before using it. Do not use it if it is damaged. In the
event of damage, contact customer service.
1. Place the motor unit (10) on a dry, level surface close to a socket that is out of the reach
of children.
2. Make sure that the funnel tube (3) and coffee compartment (7) are free of debris, clean and
that the top grinding disc (2) is properly mounted (see chapter “Cleaning”).
3. Place the lid (6) on the coffee compartment and insert it in the device. The coffee compart-
ment must audibly lock into place.
4. Take the lid (1) off of the funnel tube, add a suf

starting with one measuring spoon of coffee beans per cup and, if necessary, change the
dose later.
5. Then close the lid again.
6. Set the coarseness with the adjustment wheel (11). We recommend the following as ap-
proximate values:
– 1 - 3
fi
ne coarseness for espresso machines
– 4 - 6 medium coarseness for
