Installation safety
Particles leaving the NF separator need to be captured and transported in a safe manner. Make sure
there are sufficient measures, to prevent unqualified personnel from approaching the device.
The NF separator is provided with hatches to shield operators from moving parts. Hatches must first be
unlocked and can then be lifted off by using the handles. See also chapter
Changing magnet rotor position
The position of the magnet rotor may be rotated in comparison to the belt drive tube.
This rotation is done in steps of 6.25 degrees, with a maximum of 37.5 degrees. The normal position is
set at 0 degrees with rotation possible towards the separation plate.
Procedure
•
Always perform the work with two technicians, one on the drive side and the other on the non-drive
side.
•
Unscrew the nut of the lock bolt on both sides.
•
Unscrew the lock bolt on the motor side so that it is completely out of the hole in the side of the
roller.
•
Let one technician hold the motor in place while the other technician removes the lock bolt on the
side without the motor. There is a spring attached to the motor to help position and stabilise it.
•
Simply tilt the rotor to the desired position.
•
Screw the lock bolts by hand into the corresponding holes. First on the side without the motor, then
on the motor side. After they are unscrewed half a turn, lock them in place by tightening the nuts.
