TROUBLESHOOTING (FOR DVD)
Problem : Record button does not start recording
Checks:
1. Make sure there is a recordable (DVD+RW or DVD+R) disc inside the player.
2. If you wish to record from FreeView input,check the program table in FreeView mode to see the available channels.You
may need to do an automatic search again to record,if the automatic search after installation has failed to find channels.
3. If you wish to record from an input source, make sure that the record source is active and sending signals.
4. To record from a DVD player the dvd should not be copy protected.
5. If there is no space left on the disc you will see the error message disc is full.Erase some titles to create space
for new recordings.Titles cannot be overwritten.
Problem : No input signal message is received.
Checks:
1. Make sure the aerial is connected to FreeView input and there is TV broadcast on some channels.
2. If you are using scart cvbs,svideo or composite video inputs,make sure the record source is properly connected and
switched on.
Problem : Timer recording does not work
Checks:
1. Make sure that the system time and record start time are set correctly.
Time will be displayed when the recorder switches to standby in power saving off mode.
2. You will not be able to record, if the program number found during automatic search does not contain an active
channel.
Problem: Can not set a recorder / reminder by EPG
Checks:
1. Make sure the event that wanted to record/remind not passed.
2. Make sure the event that wanted to record/remind not conflicted with another event.
Problem: Titles are not displayed when play edit titles button is pressed
Check:
Make sure there is a disc inside the recorder and contains at least one recorded title.
Problem. Edit disc option is disabled
Check:
Make sure that the recorder is in full stop mode.
Problem: The picture colors are not ok
Check:
Check the video output mode and select the appropriate mode
Problem: There are no chapters in the recorded title
Check:
Make sure that the Autochapter insertion feature is turned on.
Problem: The picture is distorted
Check:
Make sure that the scart cable to TV is connected firmly.
Problem: There is no audio from speakers
Check:
Make sure the appropriate sound mode of the player and the amplifier mode are compatible.,
