Troubleshooting and repairs
8.1
General information for troubleshooting and repairs
Goals of the troubleshooting are:

to find and evaluate causes for malfunction
-
initiate measures to solve malfunction

fix malfunction and restore operational readiness
Repairs to the machine may only be carried out by the PortaCo Inc. or personnel who have been specially instructed. Additionally,
work on electrical system parts may only be made by electrical specialists.
8.2
Troubleshooting and repairs
Malfunction
Possible causes
Remedy
Grinding disc is not turning or
turning too slowly
Hydraulic fluid level too low
Top off hydraulic fluid or replace
Connection not airtight or loose
Check connections and sealings and tighten, or
replace sealings
Air in the device
Bleed system
Mechanical error
Check the entire device for damage
Pressure or flow too low
Set pressure relief valve to 145 to 150 bar
Operating lever stiff
Counter-pressure too high
17 bar and 38 lpm should not be exceeded.
Device soiled
Clean the device
Hydraulic fluid leak
Damaged sealing
Remove device and replace sealings
Grinding disc is turning in reverse Flow and return flow reversed
Connect the hydraulic hoses properly.
