5. MAINTENANCE - CLEANING - LUBRICATION
5.1 ENGINE
Refer to the engine Instruction Manual.
5.2 CLUTCHES
5.2.1 Gear clutch
From time to time check play between the thrust bearing and the clutch pins.
See Fig. 7. Pedal n. 2 take-up should be about 10-15mm. If it is less, slacken off
the locking nut and regulate with the adjusting screw n.3.
5.2.2 PTO clutch
From time to time check play between the thrust bearing and the clutch pins.
See Fig. 7. Pedal n. 21take-up should be about 20-25mm. If it is less, slacken
off locking nut n.1 fig.8 and regulate with the adjusting screw.
5.2.3 Steering clutches
The power control of the side clutches has an automatic system to adjust play.
No adjustments are therefore required.
If air accidentally infiltrates into the circuit, eliminate any leaks then pour oil into
the tank installed in the front part of the machine, beside the battery.
Bleed the air in the same way as normal braking circuits by means of screw N° 1
fig. 6 while operating the steering lever N° 7 fig. 1. Work on the side where the
air has infiltrated.
Check the level of the fluid in the reservoir after every 150 years service and top
up. It is advisable to use AGIP OSO 15 oil
5.3 BRAKES
5.3.1 Brake pedal
From time to time check the two brake link rods to ensure that their travel is the
same. Check this with the engine on so that the cylinders on the braking link
rods are pressurised. Make the check while driving by seeing if the braking
effect is the same for both sides when the same pressure is applied to the
pedals.
To adjust, slacken off the locking nut and register sleeve n.2 fig. 6.
Do not over tension, as this will cause the brakes to be applied without the pedal
being depressed.
To check this situation, operate the steering lever (n. 7, Fig. 1) without touching
the brake pedal. The tractor must continue to move without any steering effect.
To register, adjust both link rods on the right and left side of the tractor.
