Finding a Station
AM FM: Pressing this button will alternately select
either the AM or the FM band. The selected band will be
indicated on the display.
TUNING: Press the button with the upward
arrow to increase the frequency and the button with the
downward arrow to decrease the frequency of a
radio station.
To use automatic tuning, push one of the tuning buttons
for a half a second or longer. The frequency display will
stop automatically when a live frequency is detected.
To tune stations manually, push one of the buttons for
less than half a second.
SCN: Press this button to listen to the next radio station
for a few seconds. The radio will keep scanning stations
until the scan button is pressed during the five seconds
that a station is being reviewed.
PUSHBUTTONS: The five numbered preset buttons let
you return to your favorite stations. You can set up to
10 stations (five AM and five FM). Just:
1. Turn the radio on.
2. Press AM FM to select the band.
3. Tune in the desired station.
4. Press one of the preset buttons in for one and a half
seconds or longer. A beep will sound to indicate that
the station has been set. Whenever you press that
numbered button for less than one and a half
seconds, the station you set will return.
5. Repeat the steps for each pushbutton.
Setting the Tone
TONE: Turn the control behind the SW.VOL knob
clockwise to emphasize the treble and counterclockwise
to emphasize the bass.
Adjusting the Speakers
BAL: Pull out the SW.VOL knob. Turn the knob to
move the sound to the left or right speakers. The middle
position balances the sound between the speakers.
