left in a discharged state for some time, it may take up to 1.5 hours to charge.
1. Slide a fully or partially discharged Battery on to the Battery Charger (12)
Note:
Make sure the Battery and Battery Charger are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide on to the
Battery Charger easily, don’t force it. Instead, remove the Battery, check the tops of the Battery and the Battery
Charger slot are clean and undamaged and that the contacts are not bent.
2. Once charging commences, the Red LED (14) will illuminate

Battery Charge Level:
The Battery (9) has a built-in Battery Charge Indicator (8) (Fig. I). Pressing on the
button to the right will indicate the charge level. The right LED indicates a high charge level and the left LED
indicates a low charge level that will mean the battery pack will require charging soon.
IMPORTANT:
When a low charge level is indicated be aware the tool may stop operating while using the tool.
In some instances this may be dangerous. It is recommended to always ensure the battery pack has a good
charge level.
Notes about battery charging:
• The battery should be charged at ambient temperatures between 10 and 40°C (ideally around 20°C)
• After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool before use
• Ensure that the Battery Charger (12) is disconnected from the mains supply after use, and is stored
correctly
• DO NOT leave batteries on charge for extended periods and NEVER store batteries on charge
• The Battery Charger monitors battery temperature and voltage while charging. Remove the battery once
charging has been completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery and not waste power
• Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in the battery can fail and the battery could short.
The charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another battery, if possible, to check correct functionality
of the charger and purchase a replacement battery if a faulty battery is indicated
• DO NOT store Lithium-Ion battery packs in a discharged state long term. This can damage the Lithium-Ion
cells. For long-term storage, store batteries in a high charge state disconnected from the power tool
• The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100 charge cycles, the battery’s operation time
and the maximum torque performance of the drill will slightly reduce. This decline will continue until the
battery has minimal capacity after 500 charge cycles. This is normal and not a fault with the battery pack
Fitting a driver bit
WARNING:
DO NOT fit any attachment with a maximum speed lower than the no load speed of the machine.
1. Pull the Collar (2) of the Hex Bit Holder (1) forward, and insert the bit
2. Release the Collar
3. Pull on the bit to check that it is securely fitted. If the bit is not secure, repeat the above procedure
Note:
Make sure screwdriver bits used are hardened and suitable for use with an impact driver.
Operation
Direction control
WARNING:
NEVER change the direction of rotation while the tool is running. This may cause permanent
damage to the tool.
• The direction of rotation can be set using the Forward/Reverse Switch (5)
• For anti-clockwise rotation, push the switch to the right
• For clockwise rotation, push the switch to the left
Note:
When the Forward/Reverse Switch (5) is in the central position, the drill is locked and cannot be
switched on. Use this setting as a safety feature to prevent the drill from being switched on accidentally.
Switching on/off
WARNING:
ALWAYS wear adequate personal protection equipment when setting up and operating this
machine.
1. To start the drill, squeeze the Trigger Switch (6)
2. The built-in Work Light LED (15) will illuminate when the Trigger Switch is squeezed
Note:
If the Trigger Switch cannot be pressed down, check that the Forward/Reverse Switch (5) is not set to its
middle position, which locks the device (see ‘Direction control’).
3. The speed of the impact driver is controlled by the movement of the trigger: the further the Trigger Switch
is pressed down, the faster the impact driver will run
4. Release the Trigger Switch to stop the machine
WARNING:
If the power tool gets excessively hot in use, stop using the tool immediately and allow to cool
before continuing work. The cooling period can be reduced by operating the impact driver at maximum speed
with no load. Always make sure the Motor Vents (4) are not blocked and do not allow dust to enter the body of
the tool through the Motor Vents; dust, especially metallic dust, may damage or destroy the tool.

Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten
the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush or dry cloth. If available, use
clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
Storage
• Store this tool and its accessories after use in its case, in a dry, secure place out of the reach of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are
not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household
