8 Fault Finding

Isolate the supply. Gain access to the control
box, check all connections etc. Restore supply.
Using multimeter set at 240V.

Is there 240 V between   L   and   N   ?

Is there 240 V between  9   and   N   ?

With Red Link removed between  9  and  SL
and Remote Controls Calling for Duty.
Is there 240V between  SL  and  N  ?

Is there 240 V between  9   and   N   ?

Is there 240 V between  8   and   N   ?

Is there 240 V between  3   and   N   ?

Turn ON thermostat. With appliance cold.
Is there 240V between   6   and   N   ?

Turn OFF thermostat. 
Is there 240V between   6   and   N   ?

Isolate the supply. Remove gas valve cover.
Restore supply. Is there 240V between 'L'
and 'N' on gas valve ?

Faulty gas valve, renew.

Isolate supply check continuity of white cable
and Flue Blockage Safety Device,
if faulty repair or renew.

Turn ON thermostat.  Does main burner light ?

Turn ON thermostat. With appliance cold.
Is there 240V between   7   and   N   ?

Turn ON thermostat. 
Is there 240V between   7    and   N   ?

Faulty thermostat, renew.

Faulty cable (RED), from terminal block to
thermostat, repair or renew.

Faulty cable (RED), from terminal block to
thermostat, repair or renew.

Faulty Remote Controls, inform customer.

Faulty Brown bridge wire between   L   and   9
