After removing from the packaging,
assemble both parts of the tubes
together, as illustrated
. When
assembling, make sure that the
attachment lug fits into the groove as
illustrated to ensure that both tubes
are in the correct position and the
handle
(A)
is aligned correctly
.
Now tighten the screw connection
by hand by turning it clockwise
.
Afterwards mount the additional
handle as shown in fig.
-
.
After each use, ensure that the
srcews are firmly seated.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY DUE
TO ASSEMBLY ERRORS!
Ensure that all of the screws and
nuts are firmly tightened so that
the device is in a safe operational
condition. Only start the device
after it has been fully assembled!
6 Commissioning
WARNING! BEFORE USE OBSERVE
CHAPTER 2 “FOR YOUR SAFETY”.
You should therefore observe the
following safety instructions:
Clean the steel tines before each
working operation.
The air inlet openings on the
motor/gear unit (H) must not be
blocked or covered.
When starting, ensure that the
steel tongs are at a sufficient dis-
tance from your feet!
Always guide the device with both
hands (one hand on the guide han-
dle, the other on the intermediate
handle (Fig.
).
6.1 Operation
Figures 8 - 12
Suspend the extension cable in the mains
lead strain relief
(C)
(Figs.
and
).
This avoids an unintentional loosening of
the plug. Insert the extension cable in the
mains socket. Always fully unreel the cable
reserve from the cable drum and remove it
from the working area.
Hold the device with one hand on the
guide handle
(A)
and the other on the
additional handle
(E)
(Fig.
).
To switch on, press the On-/ Off-switch
(B)
and keep it pressed (Fig.
). The
device is switched off by the On-/ Off-
switch being released (Fig.
).
A blocking of the motor results in the
clutch slipping. The device can be immedi-
ately restarted after the cause of the block-
ing has been removed.
If the clutch slips too often, you should
alter you working method as the mechani-
cal components could otherwise be dam-
aged.
