8.8 Metering Board
8.8.1 Removal
Heed all cautions at the beginning of this section. Refer to Figure 8-7 for details.
1.
Remove all power from transmitter. Make certain no dc power is applied to the meter-
ing board.
2.
Remove the PA module from the transmitter chassis PA shelf.
3.
Unloosen the two captive fan panel door thumb screws and swing the fan panel door
open.
4.
Remove the PA/exciter interface D-sub 15 connector from J6 on the metering board.
Refer to Figure 7-1 for a rear view of the installed metering board.
5.
Remove the large, red, +28 Vdc supply cable from metering board terminal P1.
6.
Remove the two screws that secure the metering board D-sub 25, blind-mate connector
to the transmitter chassis PA shelf rear wall.
7.
Remove remaining mounting screws. Gently disengage the metering board from the
25-pin D-sub connector.
8.8.2 Reinstallation

Reinstallation of the metering board is in the reverse order of removal.
