7.6.5 Checking Isolator Loss
This setup can also be used to determine the loss of the isolator, refer to Figure 7-4. The
RF output power of the PA Must be in calibration and set at 250 watts. This is the power
into the isolator. Table 7-2 lists the losses for a single, dual, and three section isolators, and
the power output based on 250 watts input. The loss of the isolator under test can be calcu-
lated using the formula below:
