7.1 FIXING UNIT WEIGHT
To achieve a proper piece count it is necessary to know the unit weight of the items which are going to be count. This can be
done by weighing a knowing number of items and allowing the scale to determine the average unit weight or by introducing
manually a known weight, using the keyboard.
7.1.1. WEIGHING A SAMPLE TO DETERMINE UNIT WEIGHT.
To determine the unit weight of the items to be count it will be necessary to place a known quantity of items on the scale and introduce the quantity that is
being weighed. The balance scale is, then, going to divide the total weight by the number of samples and then it is going to show the average unit weight.
Place the scale to zero by pressing the key
if it is necessary. If you are going to use a package, place this package on the scale and then follow the
tare instructions which have been detailed before.
Place a known number of items on the scale. Once the weight display is stable introduce the quantity of articles using the numerical keys, followed by the key
. The number of units is going to appear in the QUANTITY/AMOUNT display and the average weight computed is going to appear in the UNIT WEIGHT
display. When the user starts to add more articles in the scale, the weight and quantity are also going to increase. If the scale is not stable, the calculation is
not going to be completed. It the weight is inferior to zero the display is going to show a negative value.
7.2 INTRODUCE A KNOWN UNIT WEIGHT
When the user knows the unit price, it is possible to introduce this value using the keyboard. Introduce the value of the unit price with the numeric keys
and then press the key
( unit weight). The display of the “UNIT WEIGHT” is going to show the introduced value. The sample is then added to the
balance scale and the weight is going to appear as well as the amount based on the unit weight.
7.3 PIECE RECOUNT
Once the unit weight has been determined or introduced, it is possible to use the balance scale to do the count of pieces. The scale can be tare to register
the weight of the package, as it has been described previously.
After doing the tare process to the balance, the user can add the items to count and the display of “AMOUNT/QUANTITY” is going to show the number of
items computed, using the weight and the unit weight.
It is possible to increase the accuracy of the weight unit whenever you need during the count process by introducing the amount number that appears in
the display , pressing the
key. The user must be sure that the amount that appears in the display matches the quantity placed on the scale before
pressing the key. The unit weight is going to be adjusted according to a bigger amount of sample. This fact is going to give a better accuracy to the count
of sizes when the samples are bigger.
7.4 PIECE WEIGHT AUTOMATIC UPDATING
The control of pieces or of weight is a procedure that must be followed by the beeping of an alarm when the number of items counted is equal or superior
to the number stored in memory when using the key PST.
The stored value is introduced by using the keyboard. The user must introduce the numeric value that is going to be stored using the numeric keys. Then,
you must press the key PST to save the value. To delete the value from the memory, and so disable the weight control function, the user must introduce the
value “0” in the memory of the balance scale.
7.5 PIECES OR WEIGHT AUDIBLE CONTROL ALARM
The control of pieces or of weight is a procedure that must be followed by the beeping of an alarm when the number of items counted is equal or superior
to the number stored in memory when using the key
.
The stored value is introduced by using the keyboard. The user must introduce the numeric value that is going to be stored using the numeric keys. Then,
you must press the key
to save the value. To delete the value from the memory, and so disable the weight control function, the user must introduce
the value “0” in the memory of the balance scale.
