6.1 ZEROING THE DISPLAY
The user can press the key
at any moment to fix the zero, always within a range of the 4% within reach. The display of weigh is going to show the
indicator in zero
The balance scale has a function of automatic zeroing to solve small problems of diversion or accumulation of material on the platform. However, it can also
be necessary to press the
key to place the scale at the zero point again, especially if the display show small quantities of weight when there is no
item on the platform.
6.2 TARE FIXING
There are two methods to introduce a value of tare. The first uses the weight placed on the platform and the second one use the value introduced by the user.
6.2.1 NORMAL TARE
Place the balance scale to zero by pressing the
key if it is necessary. The indicator of zero is going to activate. Place a package on the plate of the
scale and on the display of the scale is going to appear a weight value.
Press the key
to fix the tare of the scale. The weight that has appeared in the display is going to be stored as a tare value and this value is going to
be deducted from the display, leaving it to zero. Next, the indicator “
Net
” (NETO)is going to be activated. As product is being added, the display is going to
show just the weight of the product. The balance scale could repeat the tare process again if the user needs to add another type of product, different from the
first one. Again, the display is going to show the weight that is added after fixing the tare.
When the packaging is removed from the scale, the display is going to show a negative value. If the tare process has been done before removing the packa-
ging, this value is the gross weight of the packaging plus the entire product that has been removed. The zero indicator is also going to be switched on because
the platform is going to be in the same situation prior to the one when the user pressed the
key.
6.2.2 PRETARE
This method allows the user to introduce a value for the weight of tare by using the keyboard. This method is useful when all the packages are the same or if
the package used is already full but need the gross weight and the tare weight of the package is already known.
Remove all the weight from the platform, press the key
to zeroing the display. Introduce the tare value in kg, using the keyboard, press the key
to store the tare value. The weight which appears on the screen is going to show a negative value identical to the tare.
Place the package on the platform.
Then, the display is going to show the weight of the packaging without the tare weight. When the package is full and is placed on the platform, the tare value
is going to be subtracted of the gross weight , showing just the gross weight of the contents.
If the introducing of values does not match with the increase of the balance, the own balance is going to round up the tare value up to the nearest possible
value. For example, if a tare value of 10,3g is introduced in a balance scale of 6kg/0,5g, then the display is going to show the negative value -10,5g.
