To compensate for the substitution er-
ror, correction values must be gener-
ated. These correction values are valid
for use for all DUT designs with nearly
identical correction factors. These val-
ues should be checked to avoid storing
too many substitution correction fac-
tors.
The substitution correction menu opens
in the configuration screen.
After the start of the substitution correc-
tion routine (1) the operator is asked to
ensure that the BTS256-LED tester
measurement port is oriented toward a
black background or set onto a black
diffuse reflecting surface (2). The sur-
face must be black since colored sur-
faces will change the reference meas-
urement! If not in a darkroom ambient
light background is also not acceptable
for the same reason.
After the reference measurement the
operator is asked (3) to set the
BTS256-LED tester on the test sample
(DUT). The DUT LED must be switched
off!
The evaluated substitution correction
factor can be stored for future use (4
and 5).
